Discovery Channel Stores tests multichannel shopping with web kiosks

Discovery Channel Stores are installing web-enabled kiosks to allow customers to view more than 700 videos and access additional inventory of specialty gifts offered at Discoverystore.com.

Discovery Channel Stores is installing web-enabled kiosks from Burnaby, BC-based Info Touch Technologies. The kiosks allow customers to view more than 700 videos and access additional inventory of specialty gifts offered at Discoverystore.com.

Discovery Channel Stores says implementing interactive web kiosks gives the company a chance to test multi-channel shopping. The company did not say how many stores will have the kiosks. Kiosk users can also access information about rewards points as part of Discovery Channel Stores’ Passport loyalty program.
