The site is a key part of Hallmark`s efforts to use the Internet to integrate and manage current and new customer channels and supply chains. Yantra`s software is managing customer orders and inventory across a complex array of channels, on-line retailers, internal business units, third party suppliers and service providers. The application has been in production since March, 2001.
Yantra`s Demand Solution gives Hallmark.com complete order and inventory visibility across its different on-line channels, business units, distributi on centers and third party suppliers. The benefits for Hallmark include reductions in cost and time coordinating, and fulfilling on-line orders that involve multiple trading participants. The Yantra application extends Hallmark`s existing ERP (enterprise resource planning) infrastructure and gives Hallmark.com the flexibility and scalability to rapidly add new third-party product offerings and services, and to integrate with other distribution channels.
