The announcement coincides with the recent re-launch of the Hallmark.com site for the holidays.
Hallmark.com sells Hallmark cards, gifts such as fresh flowers, gift certificat es, as well as other gifts from third party suppliers. The site is a key part of Hallmark`s efforts to use the Internet to integrate and manage current and new customer channels and supply chains. Yantra`s software is managing customer orders and inventory across a complex array of channels, on-line retailers, internal business units, third party suppliers and service providers. The application has been in production since March, 2001.
Yantra`s Demand Solution gives Hallmark.com complete order and inventory visibility across its different on-line channels, business units, distributi on centers and third party suppliers. The benefits for Hallmark include reductions in cost and time coordinating, and fulfilling on-line orders that involve multiple trading participants. The Yantra application extends Hallmark`s existing ERP (enterprise resource planning) infrastructure and gives Hallmark.com the flexibility and scalability to rapidly add new third-party product offerings and services, and to integrate with other distribution channels.
