The National Retail Federation has canceled its NRFTech Conference, which was to be held in October in New Orleans. “Our members have sent a clear message that with the current disruption in travel, their priorities for the near future will be to continue to provide assistance for the recovery effort and to plan for what will clearly be a crucial holiday season for many retailers,” the National Retail Federation said in a statement announcing the cancellation.

NRFTech was known last year as NRF.com and was to be a showcase for retail technology. It had been scheduled for Oct. 14-17. The NRF says the cancellation in no way affects its Annual Convention and Expo to be held in New York, Jan. 13-16.
