Hipbone Selected for Best-of-Breed Technology

KIRKLAND, Wash. and SAN CARLOS, Calif., August 15, 2001 - Talisma Corporation, provider of powerful, easy-to-use electronic customer relationship management (eCRM) solutions, and Hipbone, Inc., the leading provider of real-time Web interaction solutions, today announced an OEM relationship. Under the agreement, Talisma has expanded live customer support options for its growing list of global customers by integrating Hipbone`s award-winning co-browsing technology into its eCRM suite of product offerings.

Talisma is extending its already broad array of traditional and alternative customer interaction options, which include phone, e-mail, self-help, Web forms, chat, VoIP and fax. Talisma selected Hipbone because its patent-pending technology demonstrated compliance with the stringent security, auditability, transaction control and verification standards and regulations now mandated by financial services institutions, a key market for Talisma. Talisma is packaging Hipbone`s value added co-browsing into, both its on-premises and hosted versions, as a separately-priced option to its own offerings. The new offering is available for immediate sale and deployment through Talisma`s worldwide sales force.

"Co-browsing is becoming an essential touch point in the eCRM marketplace and Hipbone`s technology enables Talisma to immediately offer this capability as an integrated part of our eCRM Suite, " said Pradeep Singh, founder and CEO of Talisma. "Our customers are in some of the most demanding, results-oriented segments of the eCRM industry. Co-browsing will further empower Talisma to positively impact these customers` economics by continuing to drive improvements in contact center effectiveness and ROI."

Co-browsing humanizes and enhances Internet-based sales and support by enabling remote sales or customer support agents to share a single browser image with online customers to assist them in completing credit applications, travel reservations, or selecting multi-part features and options during complex transactions. Hipbone`s unique co-browsing solutions allow eBusinesses to quickly realize incremental monetary benefits from lowered shopping cart abandonment rates, higher cross-sell and up-sell conversions, and increased customer loyalty.

"Hipbone`s customers have demonstrated that offering immediate and personal assistance to Website visitors can easily mean the difference between gaining or losing a sale," said Michael Sayer, president and CEO of Hipbone. "Talisma clearly understands the powerful, positive impact that great service and customer loyalty have on profitability, and is committed to delivering state-of-the-art solutions to eBusinesses."
