Redmond, WA, August 14 - RichSolutions, Inc., the leading provider of ePayment Web Services, is excited to announce the immediate availability of a new free credit Card Validation Web Service. The Card Validation Web Service is a free Web Service that performs the following functions:

· Determines the credit card issuer (Visa, MC, AMEX, etc.)

· Verifies the credit card lengthen by card issuer.

· Performs a mod 10 check on the card number to determine if the card number is valid.

· Determines if the card is a known commercial card.

It validates the card by these parameters (Note: It does not authorize the card, that functionality is a for fee service as part of RichPayments.NET).

The Card Validation Web Service is built on open industry standards like SOAP & XML and can be easily integrated into any Web site or application. The download includes Visual Basic (VB) & Active Server Page (ASP) sample source code and requires Microsoft’s SOAP toolkit. “The Card Validation Web Service serves as a great first introduction to Web Services”, says Bill Pittman, President of RichSolutions. “It provides valuable functionality to businesses that don’t need to verify the card in real time but want to catch the obvious mistakes.”
