IRVINE, Calif., August 6, 2001 – The parent company responsible for the creation, marketing and management of such popular e-commerce sites as RitzCamera.com and BoatersWorld.com has changed its name. Now Ritz Interactive, Inc., the Web network formerly known as phobo.com, Inc. feels that the new name more accurately reflects the contribution of RitzCamera.com and the Ritz group of companies to its overall success.

And, while the scope of phobo.com to date has encompassed far more than photography, we believe the Ritz Interactive name better represents our company’s origins, as well as our strong commitment to serving the customer.”
According to Lerner, Ritz Interactive, Inc. will continue to build and expand the spectrum of popular Web sites, products and services currently offered, while honoring the rich traditions that have made Ritz Camera Centers and Boater’s World Marine Centers household names in this country for decades. There are nearly 1000 brick-and-mortar Ritz Camera retail locations and more than 100 Boater’s World stores nationwide.
Since its formation in April of 1999, phobo.com (now Ritz Interactive, Inc.) has quickly established a strong presence in the Internet space as a successful e-commerce development and management network.
