A deal to guarantee e-RX delivery to pharmacies

VerifEye will use EcomXML’s technology to guarantee delivery of online prescriptions from physicians to pharmacies.

EcomXML Inc., a provider of underlying software solutions enabling the guaranteed business exchange of data within and between organizations, and VerifEye Inc., a provider of electronic prescription transmissions to pharmacies and secure storage of medical prescriptions, have signed a deal for VerifEye to provide guaranteed, secure delivery of electronic prescriptions from physicians’ offices to pharmacies.

Birchrunville, PA-based VerifEye will use EcomXML`s EcomAcceptX solution to enable the guaranteed delivery of inbound prescriptions between hundreds of physician offices and VerifEye`s system, and outbound between VerifEye and pharmacies.

VerifEye will install web-based technology in doctors’ offices to enable physicians to transmit prescriptions electronically to pharmacies. VerifEye’s system offers pre-processing and verification by the patient`s healthcare plan and allow patients to choose pharmacy preferences.

VerifEye said it selected the EcomAcceptX technology because it enables non-repudiation (proof of origin and receipt) and guarantees delivery and acceptance of transactions between businesses over the Internet. EcomAcceptX is built on patented algorithms and workflow processes that combine conventional and public key cryptography to provide guaranteed business exchange.

Langhorne, PA-based EcomXML’s core objective is to help customers guarantee the secure delivery and acceptance of information sent over the Internet.
