QRS Strengthens Application Sales with Addition of Industry Veteran Jeff Laumbattus

Laumbattus to Serve as Vice President of Application Sales

Richmond, CA  July 26, 2001  QRS Corporation (Nasdaq: QRSI), the leading expert in global sourcing and supply chain management solutions for the retail industry, announced today the appointment of Jeff Laumbattus as vice president of application sales. In this newly created position, Laumbattus will be responsible for driving sales of Tradeweaveä Sourcing in North America and Canada. Tradeweave Sourcing is a Web-based solution that helps customers model a global supplier network to efficiently manage product and information flow.

"Jeff is an industry veteran with more than 15 years of proven supply chain software sales experience. "Jeff`s expertise further strengthens QRS` leadership position in the global sourcing and supply chain management space, allowing the company to capitalize on the tremendous growth opportunity by matching client needs with proven QRS solutions."

Prior to joining QRS, Laumbattus worked for the systems integration and consulting firm, The Highland Group. As a principal and business unit leader, Laumbattus sold supply chain solutions from Ariba, i2 Technologies, SAP, Manugistics and Commerce One.

Laumbattus served as vice president of the Aerospace Division at B.P. Chemical. While at B.P., he was responsible for developing cost-saving procedures and designing new ERP and MRP systems. In addition, he increased production, decreased costs and effectively sold and implemented a host of supply chain management software solutions and services. Earlier in his career, Laumbattus spent 10 years with General Motors, eventually becoming vice president of materials and logistics.

Laumbattus has an M.B.A from the University of Munich, and a B.S. in Education from Southern Illinois University.
