Hoffman Estates, IL-based Sears Roebuck and Co. has launched the searsroomforkids.com site featuring merchandise available only at the site or through an associated catalog.

The site features room groupings with furniture and accessories such as comforters, sheets, curtains, lamps and rugs. The site launched this month, although Sears has been producing the catalog for two years. The merchandise is completely separate from Sears stores’ merchandise. While Sears recently started allowing customers to return goods purchased at Sears.com to Sears stores, customers will not be able to return searsroomforkids.com to Sears stores.

The site will allow online visitors to e-mail links to pictures of the rooms of their choice to family and friends
