Plymouth Meeting, PA-based Half.com has two new rare booksellers on its site. New York City’s famous Strand Book Store will add its extensive inventory of new, used and rare titles to Half.com’s listings. Strand has two stores in New York and operates a web site, strandbooks.com. Victoria, BC-based abebooks.com, which claims to be the world’s largest book site with some 8,400 member book dealers around the world, plans to distribute inventory from its participating affiliated dealers on Half.com. Half.com says the addition of the two bookstores will significantly expand the site’s product listings. Half.com is owned by Portland, OR-based eBay, and operates as a quasi-retail arm of the auction site.
