Bookseller Powells.com will take online consumer book reviews to new levels by providing subscribers with book reviews from The New Republic, Salon.com, Esquire and The Atlantic Monthly via e-mail. Each weekday, Powells.com will send subscribers a full-length review from one of the four reviewers; members of the bookseller’s staff will provide reviews on the fifth day.

“We know we can get customers the books they want at competitive prices,” says Michael Powell, president of Powell’s Books. “This new review a day program, led by these incredible reviewers, will help readers make informed decisions about which books are worth buying.”

The new program follows recent bookselling agreements between Powell’s and Salon.com, Esquire.com and The New Republic Online, in which the three content sites link all new book-related content to Powells.com for online ordering.
