Xchange taps David Rubinstein to lead alliances and client support and Jim Goldfinger to spearhead CVM Business Unit

Boston, Mass. – April 10, 2001 – Xchange, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXAP), which specializes in converting customer relationships into profit, today announced the addition of two Customer Relationship Management (CRM) industry leaders to its management team. David Rubinstein joins Xchange as senior vice president of Client Services and Alliances, and Jim Goldfinger joins as senior vice president and general manager of the Customer Value Management (CVM) Business Unit.

David Rubinstein will lead alliances and client services Mr. Rubinstein brings over 20 years of high-tech experience to Xchange. In his role as senior vice president of Client Services and Alliances, he will oversee Xchange’s alliance strategy with world class partners, and lead the effort to ensure that the highest levels of support and services continue for Xchange clients. Rubinstein formerly served as the executive vice president of Global Operations at Convergent Group, a leading provider of business transformation services for public and private utilities and energy markets, and previously led Cambridge Technology Partners’ (CTP) North American CRM practice, where he forged major partnerships with leading CRM companies.

“I am impressed by the Xchange management team’s vision and strategy and was won over by the company’s leadership in the real time analytical CRM space,” said Rubinstein. “The strength of Xchange’s solutions in the fastest growing segment of the CRM market make it an ideal partner for world class organizations looking to bring their clients the best, and I am eager to push the partner channel to its full potential at Xchange.”

“Alliances are a crucial component of our strategy to enhance our product offerings and increase our market share,” said Andy Frawley, chairman and CEO of Xchange. “David’s tremendous expertise on the other side, as a premier partner for CRM vendors, gives Xchange the perspective and relationships to build the partner channel to new levels.”

Jim Goldfinger to lead newly formed CVM business unit Jim Goldfinger brings more than 15 years of CRM industry experience to Xchange. Mr. Goldfinger was previously vice president of CRM Strategy for the e-Business applications provider PeopleSoft, where he was involved in the company’s product direction, competitive positioning and strategic sales support. He has directed the design and implementation of over 100 CRM applications for leading software solutions providers at several of the world’s largest companies.

As senior vice president and general manager of the CVM Business Unit, Mr. Goldfinger will spearhead the product direction, messaging and partner strategy for Xchange’s newest business unit, which was formed by merging the Real Time and EnAct Business Units. The CVM Business Unit is focused on merging technology and methodology that enables clients to drive customer value consistently across the enterprise. By merging the capabilities of Xchange Real Time and Xchange EnAct, Xchange creates the only solution that brings methodology designed to instill a profit-focused culture, to personnel in the branch or store and in centrally driven customer channels like the call center. The CVM Business Unit’s methodology compliments the technology of Xchange Real Time, which connects every customer channel and analyzes a complete, up to the second view of customer behavior, to indicate the right course of action for an organization to take in each channel to maximize customer value.

“Technology alone doesn’t optimize profitability. That requires empowering the workforce to understand how to leverage technology to grow customer value,” said Frawley. “With Jim at the helm, the CVM Business Unit delivers the knowledge and technology resources needed to increase customer profitability, to the workforce at every level of an organization. Jim is a visionary in the industry whose leadership and proven track record will bring the business unit the same success that has benchmarked his career.”

“There is no question that the future leaders in the CRM space will be those companies that can consistently deliver measurable and timely return on investment,” said Goldfinger. “I am excited to join Xchange because I am confident that the combination of best-in-class methodologies, leading edge technology, strategic alliances with world class partners and most importantly, a complete focus on customer value, will position the company among the leaders.”

“Both David and Jim are proven leaders at large organizations. I am personally thrilled that they have agreed to join our management team, and believe that they bring critical skills that are essential to Xchange’s next stage of growth,” added Frawley.
