REI promoted Matt Hyde, formerly vice president of online sales, to senior vice president of merchandising and logistics. Joan Broughton, who was REI.com’s executive site producer, was promoted to vice president of direct sales. REI Online also recently announced 2000 sales of $92 million, a 125% increase over last year’s $41 million in online sales.
