CircuitCity.com adds rotating and close-up images

Spin and close-up views now available at CircuitCity.com allow customers to rotate product images 360 degrees and zoom in on important features

CircuitCity.com has added a new feature so customers can examine products in greater detail. Spin and close-up views now available at CircuitCity.com allow customers to rotate product images 360 degrees and zoom in on important features. In many cases, the detailed images shown on a computer screen are larger than life.

Customers can access the spin and close-up images simply by clicking on the "3-D View" buttons posted under the products on the site. Within the next few months, spin and close-up views will be available for virtually all major electronics items. The new images are the result of a partnership between CircuitCity.com and Virginia based Nueweb Interactive. Files for the spin and close-up images use advanced streaming technology and take an average of 10 to 15 seconds to download on a 56K modem. Customers can view the spin images while the close-up images continue to download in the background.
