Customer service technology company RightNow Technologies completes $15 million second round of funding

RightNow Technologies Inc., developer of web customer service systems, today announced it has successfully completed a $15 million second round of venture financing. Participating in the round were existing investors Greylock, Summit Accelerator Fund, and all members of the board of directors. New investors joining in this round include Credit Suisse First Boston, a leading investment banking firm, and Narendra Gupta, founder of Integrated Systems and vice chairman of Wind River Systems, developer of embedded software applications. With over 1,000 customers, RightNow Technologies is a leading provider of web customer service systems. RightNow's products help companies of all sizes automate web customer service, improve customer satisfaction, and decrease support expenses. "We just closed a record-breaking 2000, with revenue up 450% from 1999," said Greg Gianforte, CEO and chairman of RightNow Technologies. "This funding will fuel increased investment in research and development, sales and international expansion."
