Canadian kiosk results

Info Touch Technologies Corp., a kiosk security and
management software package developer, has announced the results of a kiosk
deployment with Canada-based Chapters Inc. bookstores. The companies, which
formed a strategic alliance in May 2000, completed the largest retail
deployment of Internet kiosks in Canada with more than 300 terminals in 77
Chapters stores. A survey of 5,200 Chapters customers who use the store
kiosks showed that the male/female ratio is 57%/43%, about 90% have Internet
access available outside the Chapters network and 50% have used the Chapters
kiosks to make online purchases. Other results show that 63% had never used
an Internet kiosk before, 37% visit Chapters specifically to use the kiosks
and 80% said they would visit the store again to use the kiosk.
