The average fulfillment time jumped by just under a day as Christmas neared. In its second week of online fulfillment measurement results for the holiday season, Bizmetric found the time to receipt for online shoppers placing standard shipping orders on select e-commerce web sites to average 5 days, 3 hours and 18 minutes. This compares to 4 days, 8 hours and 46 minutes the previous week, Nov. 27 to Dec. 3. Outpost.com once again had the fastest fulfillment time, of 1 day, 10 hours and 58 minutes. These results are averages for the time it takes from the moment shoppers place their orders online to actual receipt of delivery.
