What's Cookin' at Amazon

Don Davis

Editor in Chief

Amazon.com has continued its pursuit of superstore status with the opening of a new kitchen store featuring thousands of culinary products and accessories. Like other sites for cooks, the specialty store mixes merchandise with content, ranging from product reviews to recipes.

To support this content, Amazon has assembled an editorial staff and joined forces with chefs and food journalists. Their contributions will include a weekly column from Chris Kimball and the editors of bimonthly magazine Cook's Illustrated; recipes and entertaining ideas from OneBigTable.com, a portal site cofounded by NewYork Times Magazine food columnist Molly O'Neill; and "Bittman on the Basics,'' a regular feature by award-winning author and New York Times "minimalist'' columnist Mark Bittman.
