The Bill Payer In The Dell

Don Davis

Editor in Chief

Web-based consumer bill management provider Paytrust.com has reached an agreement to become the exclusive online bill payment and delivery source for the newly redesigned DellNet, an online community for Dell Computer Corp. customers. Paytrust will be prominently featured on DellNet, in its eOffers section. Additionally, upon activating their Paytrust account, Dell and DellNet customers will receive a $25 credit to Gigabuys by Dell, an online superstore for technology products, and be automatically entered to win $5,000 in Paytrust's "I Hate My Bills" Sweepstakes. The Paytrust service delivers consumers' bills to a single, secure Web site and direct payments from users' pre-existing checking accounts. Users decide which bills they want to receive online and the bank accounts from which they want payments made. Princeton, N.J.-based Paytrust recently added SmartBalance, a feature that aggregates a customer's bank account information with Paytrust payment information. As an incentive to try the service, DellNet consumers can enroll for a free, three-month trial, after which subscribers pay a $7.95/mo.
