The search giant today launched an app called Inbox that could force retailers to change their e-mail marketing strategies.
PocketCard Inc. and Wet Seal Inc., Foothill Ranch, Calif., have announced a partnership in which consumers may sign up for personalized, Visa-branded PocketCard debit cards via links to PocketCard's Web site from any Wet Seal store Web site. PocketCards are designed for teenagers, and they enable parents to limit how much their children spend. A parent must establish an online account at the PocketCard site that links a bank account to the teen's PocketCard, the company says. Gurnee, Ill.-based PocketCard recipients will receive a $15 coupon good at any Wet Seal, Contempo Casual or Limbo Lounge store for using PocketCard.
