PetSmart Adopts AcmePet

Don Davis

Editor in Chief

After a federal district court earlier this week barred New York City-based PetSmart.com has acquired AcmePet.com, one of the oldest and most active online communities of pet owners. As part of the agreement, PetSmart.com will provide the over 300,000 monthly AcmePet.com visitors with special discounts on the pet products at its Web site.
The companies say they will work together to enhance and promote the already very active AcmePet chats and message boards and involve AcmePet members in product reviews for the PetSmart.com site. PetSmart will also sponsor more Vet Chats for AcmePet members with the company's vet and animal experts.
