NDC eCommerce Launches Discover Card Acceptance Program

Don Davis

Editor in Chief

NDC eCommerce says it plans to offer merchants the opportunity to automatically accept the Discover Card from consumers shopping in their stores and on their Web sites. The announcement is a result of an agreement with Discover Financial Services Inc. and NDC eCommerce to entitle merchants into the Discover Card program. This program allows NDC eCommerce merchants to accept an additional major credit card for payment and offers the opportunity to tap into a new customer base, says Atlanta-based NDC eCommerce. Discover Financial Services Inc., a business unit of (www.msdw.com) Morgan Stanley Dean Witter & Co., operates the Discover Card brands claiming more than 48 million cardholders and the Discover/Novus Network, which it says is the largest independent U.S. credit card network, with more than 3.5 million merchant and cash access locations.
