(gomez.com) Gomez.com, a Lincoln, Mass.-based e-commerce research and analysis firm has released its top Internet retail sites for the 1999 holiday season.
With consumers expected to spend more than $9.5 billion online during the holidays, Gomez reports that retailers must offer easy to use, secure and credible sites in order to attract both novice and Web savvy shoppers.
Making the company's "good" list for music is (www.cdnow.com) CDNow, (www.rock.com) Rock.com, and (www.borders.com) Borders. For toys, (www.etoys.com) eToys, (www.kbkids.com) KBkids.com and (www.toysmart.com) ToySmart made the grade. (www.gap.com) The Gap, (www.landsend.com) Land's End and (www.eddiebauer.com) Eddie Bauer topped the list for apparel sites, while (www.800flowers.com) 1-800Flowers.com, (www.bravogifts.com) Bravo Gifts and (www.hallmark.com) Hallmark won for gift sites.
