Toysrus.com has hired four executives to drive the toy retailer's Internet strategy. New vice presidents are Michael Blancone, who also is chief logistics officer, responsible for three fulfillment facilities with 2 million square feet; Ray Arthur, finance and administration; Jim Brownell, information technology; and David Braxton, customer service. Blancone most recently was at Reebok's Greg Norman Division. Arthur was vice president, controller and chief accounting officer at Toys R Us Inc. Brownell was with The Gap for 19 years. Braxton was with American Express. "Our number one objective in 2000 is to strengthen our infrastructure," says Jonathan Foster, chief operating officer of Woodcliff Lake, N.J.-based Toysrus.com. "While many Internet companies are downsizing, we are committed to investing and building for growth."
