eBay Casts Winning Bid for Half.com

Auction giant eBay will acquire Half.com, a person-to-person trading marketplace.

Half.com brings together buyers and sellers to trade used books, CDs, movies and video games at fixed prices that are at least half off the list price. The company was founded last July 1999 and launched its site in January. The site has approximately 250,000 registered users and more than 4 million items for sale. According to PCData Online, Half.com is the 18th most trafficked shopping site on the Web.
