Don Davis

Editor in Chief

E-commerce software developer BroadVision Inc. says it will team up with Bank of America in forming a standalone company focused on developing business-to-employee intranets for corporate clients. The employee portals will provide information about training, benefits, financial and travel services, industry news, stock quotes and e-commerce. Bank of America will be the first such portal developed by the new company. Other alliance members include Hewlett-Packard Co. and Amadeus Global Travel Distribution. "The corporate desktop is one of the last untouched frontiers for the Internet," says Pehong Chen, chief executive officer and founder of BroadVision. "We are pleased to help address the needs of this market in a new and innovative way."
