BizRate Edges Out Yahoo! As Web's #2 Marketplace

BizRate.com became the Internet's second-largest shopping channel in January, surpassing shopping powerhouses Yahoo! and MSN shopping, according to a report by Media Metrix.

The report shows BizRate logging more than three million unique visitors in January, a 4.6 % market reach. BizRate finished the month behind AOL Shopping, just four months after the launch of its marketplace. Along with the traffic numbers, Media Metrix showed that BizRate has more "stickiness" than other online marketplaces, meaning that customers spend more time per month at BizRate.
